INGREDIENTS for ~1L of mulled wine:
▪️ 750 ml white wine / I use dry / can be replaced with tea
▪️ 1l apple juice
▪️ zest and juice of 1 orange
▪️ 100 ml of rum or cognac
▪️ 2 tbsp white sugar / or to taste
? sugar can be replaced with honey, but then add it at the end. if you use sweet wine or its substitutes — reduce sugar or do not add at all.
▪️ 1 cinnamon stick (if small, take a couple)
▪️ 2 star anise
▪️ 5 cloves
▪️ 1g ground cardamom
▪️ pinch of nutmeg
▪️ if desired, you can add barberry, ginger, red pepper, vanilla and other spices and flavourings to taste
? Warm up the READY MULLED WINE to 70-80℃
